Arriving in Seychelles
The Seychelles International Airport on Mahé Island is the international gateway to the Seychelles. All international and domestic flights arrive and depart here. It is recommended that you allow atleast 1 hour to clear through Immigration and collect luggage. Check-in time for domestic flights is minimum 30 minutes prior to departure. Once you have cleared Immigration and collected your baggage, you may: 1. Taxi transfer to your hotel on Mahé Island 2. Sail to Praslin Island from Victoria (take a taxi to Victoria first) 3. Fly to Praslin Island (short walk to the Domestic Airport next to International Airport) 4. La Digue Island does not have an airstrip. As such it is necessary to fly or sail to Praslin first - see 2 and 3 above, and then connect by ferry to La Digue. La Digue has a helipad. 5. Take a boat to Cerf Island (take a taxi to Eden Island first) 6. Fly to Bird Island  (short walk to the Domestic Airport next to International Airport) All schedules and prices for inter island connections follow below. There is also information regarding - Left Luggage and - Indication taxi fares on Mahé and Praslin. From the Seychelles International Airport 1. Take a taxi to your hotel or *free shuttle bus to Victoria's Inter Island Quay for the Cat Cocos ferry to Praslin. Taxis are widely available just infront of the International flight Arrivals Hall. Taxi costs depend on location of the hotel, number of persons and pieces of luggage. Indication Taxi costs: One way per car (max 3 pax with luggage)      Airport - Victoria : € 20 : transfer time 15 mins Airport - Beau Vallon : € 30 : transfer time 25 mins Airport - South Mahé : € 35-40 : transfer time 30 mins 2. Connections to Praslin by sea are on the Cat Cocos fast ferry departing the Inter Island Quay Victoria, which is approx 20 minutes drive from the Airport. Arriving at Baie Ste Anne Jetty on Praslin. CC1 : Cat Cocos "Isle of Praslin" is a 36 meter catamaran with a capacity of 350 passengers operating between Mahé and Praslin in less than 1 hour, arriving at Baie Ste Anne Jetty Praslin. Operational subject to load factor. CC2 : Cat Cocos "Isle of La Digue" is in operation for all trips Mahé/Praslin/Mahé. The vessel has a carrying capacity of 227 passengers. Cat Cocos Schedules below are effective up to 26 October 2013 below is subject to change without notice. The sales office of Cat Cocos near the boat stops sales of tickets 15 minutes prior to each departure. Boarding begins 30 minutes prior to departure. * Free Bus Shuttle to/from Airport for Cat Cocos connections is available only on Mahé and on request only operating in accordance with the boats timetable. Short walking distance to the Domestic Airport just next door for connecting flights by Air Seychelles light aircraft or by helicopter ZilAir to the other Islands. Air Seychelles flights to Praslin every 30 minutes throughout the day. It is recommended to pre-book as flights are often full especially off International Flight arrivals. There are paying left luggage facilities at the Seychelles International Airport. It is recommended where possible that you route directly to La Digue or Praslin if you are spending night/s there and then finish off your stay on Mahé as this saves additional transfers, time and money. And you get 5kgs extra luggage allowance! More importantly if you are connecting to an early morning departure flight. NOTE: Praslin Express is not operational since June 2011. Helicopter Seychelles is not operational since April 2012.   3b.  Flight delays If your international flight is delayed connecting to a domestic Air Seychelles flight, there is a penalty of 10 euro payable per person and you are put on to the next available connecting flight. This penalty is waived for Air Seychelles and Ethihad clients only.

From Praslin's Iles des Palmes Airport at Amitie 4.  Take a taxi to your hotel or guesthouse or take a ferry at Baie Ste Anne Jetty to La Digue. Taxis are plentiful and available in front of the arrival halls. Cost varies upon location of hotel, number of passengers and luggage. The connections from Praslin to La Digue are by Cat Rose fast ferry or local schooners and Cat Cocos "Iles of La Digue". Transfer time 25 minutes from the Iles Des Palmes Airport to Baie Ste Anne Jetty. Indication Taxi costs: One way per car (max 3 pax with luggage)      Airport - Grand Anse : € 15 : Transfer time 3 mins Airport - Baie Ste Anne : € 20 : Transfer time 20 mins Airport - Côte d’Or : € 25 : Transfer time 25 mins Baie Ste Anne - Côte d’Or : € 15 : Transfer time 5 mins From Baie Ste Anne Jetty Praslin to La Digue The fast ferry Cat Rose is operated by William Rose (transfer time 15 mins) OR the local schooner (about 30 mins) from Baie Ste Anne Praslin to/ from La Passe La Digue. Local schooner is generally only used for groups on request. You buy your tickets on the day of your trip at Baie Ste Anne or at La Passe La Digue. Group tickets can be pre-booked by tel + 248 423 2329 fax + 248 423 2374. 5. Cerf Island Take a taxi to Eden Island. Transfer time 20 mins. Taxi transfers are payable directly to the driver as usual. From there you take the Villa de Cerf speedboat to the Island. Boat transfers are arranged at time of booking accommodation. Arrival and departure boat transfer is complimentary. Other transfers to and from the island are as per boat schedule and are payable. 10h00 Cerf to Eden Island 15h30 Eden to Cerf Island 17h30 Eden to Cerf Island Cost is Euro 10 per adult return / Euro 5 per child under 12 years There is some flexibility of timings on the above schedule. You need to liaise with the villa manager the night before. 6. Bird Island Bird Island is a 30 minute flight by light craft from Mahé International Airport. Flights are booked with the hotel when booking accommodation. Flights between Mahé and Bird do not operate every day. It may be necessary for you to adjust the number of nights at Bird Island according to the inter-island flight schedules. Flight schedule: Depart Mahé 14h15 (check-in 13h45) Depart Bird 15h00 (check-out 12h00) Baggage allowance: 10kg except for last minute excursions rate allowance 5kgs only Cost: 1-9 nights Return flights : Mahé/Bird/Mahé :  € 361 per adult/child.
